The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education in the School of Public and Allied Health at Prairie View A&M University is planning to hire a Lecturer I. This is a full-time non-tenure track position.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging course content, including lectures, seminars, and lab sessions, and assess student performance through various evaluation methods. Must be willing to teach classes face-to-face as well as online.
Provide academic advising and mentorship, hold regular office hours, and assist students with coursework, academic progress, and career planning.
Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, conferences, and research activities to stay current in the field.
Participate in departmental and institutional committees, contribute to curriculum planning, and engage in community outreach and partnerships. Must attend departmental meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Must have a Master's degree or higher in a Kinesiology related field.
Minimum of 2 or more years teaching at an institution of higher education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Expertise in instructional technology and experience in course learning management systems.
