Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer - Level 1 to join our Launch Vehicles Manufacturing Integration Team in Chandler, AZ. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Role and Impact:

• This individual will be responsible for the integration of mechanical structures and their subcomponents. 

• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plans. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, investigate and initiate corrective actions for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

• Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.

• Provide guidance to engineering regarding Design For Manufacturing (DFM) concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. 

• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Your Expertise - Required Qualifications:

• Level 1 - Bachelor’s degree with 6 months-1 year of relevant experience

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite

• Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures work cell layout, production build sequence, tooling design, troubleshooting/corrective action, and quality assurance.

• Experience adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions

• Familiarity working with CAD, NX and Teamcenter

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

• An active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or above

• A good working knowledge of creating, supporting & sustaining the use of Manufacturing Engineering System (MES) work instructions

• Ability to engage with cross functional teams

• Confident presentation skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

Salary Range: $58,200.00 - $87,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
