Aftermarket Purchasing Intern

Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

This internship is an opportunity to develop skills to support the establishment of a global, sustainable and value added procurement organization with highly trained employees. This internship is an opportunity to understand professional negotiation tactics, as well as basic internal DTNA functions. This position provides visibility to cross functional DTNA partners, providing a clear growth path within the DTNA organization for the long term.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA

• Support the Aftermarket Purchasing team with day-to-day activities, as well as specific topics
• Research opportunities for utilizing automated raw material adjustments for Aftermarket 
• Support supplier consolidation efforts; reduce the number of low value suppliers 
• Support the Subject Matter Expert handbook process documentation and clean up 
• Investigate opportunities for efficiency using data analytics
• Support clean-up of Missing Cost Back Orders which allows dealers to receive critical parts they ordered

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months. 
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required (vlookups, pivot tables, ability to analyze large amounts of data)
• Ability to present information to senior management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Solid organizational skills
• Creative mindset
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
