The Southern Glazer’s Internship Program was established to develop the next generation of Sales, Trade Development, Operations, Technology and Corporate leaders. Overview
The Commercial Finance & Business Intelligence Intern provides data support for our Regional Commercial Finance and Trade Development teams to assist in evaluating route-to-market strategies, identifying commercial opportunities, and analyzing effectiveness of pricing and promotional investments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze pricing, promotions, incentives, and profitability.
- Cross-compare customer selling opportunities with sales performance and brand challenges/initiatives.
- Analyze internal and externally available data sources (i.e., Nielsen, IRI, Numerator) to identify commercial opportunities for our portfolio.
- Provide accurate, timely, and insightful results to commercial leadership, field sales team, and/or suppliers partners.
- Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests.
- Input corporate and supplier programs into designated business intelligence applications (i.e., NSM, Goal Builder, SODs, Business Objects, etc.).
- Perform other job-related duties or projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a Junior in college and graduating the following year

Reside in the vicinity of the internship or have ability to obtain housing

21 years of age or older at the start of the internship

Demonstrated analytical capacity, curiosity, and ability to build presentation/business cases

Able to organize priorities and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result in a team environment
-
Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in writing
-
Proficient in SharePoint and all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel

Must be detail oriented

- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
