Overview

The Commercial Finance & Business Intelligence Intern provides data support for our Regional Commercial Finance and Trade Development teams to assist in evaluating route-to-market strategies, identifying commercial opportunities, and analyzing effectiveness of pricing and promotional investments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze pricing, promotions, incentives, and profitability.
• Cross-compare customer selling opportunities with sales performance and brand challenges/initiatives.
• Analyze internal and externally available data sources (i.e., Nielsen, IRI, Numerator) to identify commercial opportunities for our portfolio.
• Provide accurate, timely, and insightful results to commercial leadership, field sales team, and/or suppliers partners.
• Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests.
• Input corporate and supplier programs into designated business intelligence applications (i.e., NSM, Goal Builder, SODs, Business Objects, etc.).
• Perform other job-related duties or projects as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a Junior in college and graduating the following year

• Reside in the vicinity of the internship or have ability to obtain housing

• 21 years of age or older at the start of the internship

• Demonstrated analytical capacity, curiosity, and ability to build presentation/business cases

• Able to organize priorities and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result in a team environment

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in writing

• Proficient in SharePoint and all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel

• Must be detail oriented

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
