Job Description Summary

Prepares and analyzes statistical reports of data to be used by the actuarial staff. Provides quantitative support in product development, financial analysis, management reporting, modeling and other actuarial research.

Responsibilities

• Significant and complex data manipulation and complex calculations using macros and other programs.
• Significant analysis required on most projects.
• May supervise Actuarial Technician I or II, or Senior Actuarial Technician I.
• Has authority to sign-off on projects of varying scope.
• Uses independent discretion with minimal supervision.
• May review methods and results of moderately complex projection models.
• May have substantial involvement with financial reporting. May respond to annual statement requests from any source; offers solutions to new valuation issues; may supervise major reporting projects.
• May analyze results and pricing implications, initiate and complete projects, make recommendations and implement solutions for moderately complex projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics or relevant area or equivalent education/experience. Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience. Thoroughly understands relevant industry regulations. Strong
