Job Description
Summer Resident Assistant
The Resident Assistant (RA) position at the University of Nevada, Reno offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to support their education while living on campus. Responsible for fostering a positive community, Resident Assistants assist students in acclimating to university life and promoting learning both inside and outside the classroom. RAs are expected to be available for training and duty rotations, with limitations on outside employment to ensure job performance and academic success.

Responsibilities
Acting as role models, RAs fulfill various duties including:
Community development through programming and peer support
Enforcement of residence hall policies for safety and security
Administrative tasks such as checking residents in and out, and handling maintenance requests

Required Qualifications
Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
Candidate must be eligible to live in the residence halls
Candidate must be a full-time student in good standing
Candidate must maintain and semester GPA of 2.50 or higher throughout employment
Candidate must maintain 30 credits of coursework per academic year or an average of 15 credits per semester
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 semesters of college or university full-time status
Candidate must have the ability to handle at least 15 credits per semester while balancing student leadership responsibilities
Compensation Grade
Furnished room (with possibility of roommate depending on occupancy)

Partial tuition waiver ($14 per credit for up to 15 credits) after completing two semesters
Guest Experience Team Member and Lead Guest Experience Team Member
The University of Nevada, Reno is also seeking to hire Guest Experience Team Members (GETs). GETs will work directly with visiting summer conferences groups and summer orientations, providing customer service and acting as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information. GETs must be available to reside on-site with all conferences that reserve summer housing on campus, while serving different roles as required by conference and orientation groups, summer school students and changing departmental needs.

Responsibilities
GETs will work directly with visiting summer conferences groups and summer orientations, providing customer service and acting as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information.
GETs will be expected to use their knowledge of the campus and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations and respond to complaints and find an appropriate solution.
GETs will perform a variety of tasks within the broad categories listed below to support conferences, orientations and guests.Ā
