POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Network Manager is accountable for the team that builds, manages, monitors, administers and secures the local, wide area, and wireless networks that power the Corporate, Warehouse and Plants in North Amera. This role is responsible for leading and growing an exceptionally talented organization.
The Network Manager drives innovation for all WAN, LAN and wireless networks. This role provides thought leadership in the development of next-generation architectures enabling both IT and OT technologies to ensure a seucre and robust network. The Network Manager should be well-versed in and follow information security best practices.
The Network Manager has the ability to understand large-scale systems, identify problem areas, uphold network quality, and drive design. This role is responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining top talent to successfully maintain and incrementally improve the USG network.
This role will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the team. This position is also responsible for driving material cost reductions in network infrastructure by simplifying designs, leveraging economies of scale, and partnering with our strategic vendors. This position will drive strategic relationships at USG including Plant Managers, Local Support, Infrastructure Team Members, and IT Security.
The Network Manager is responsible for building vendor partnerships and leveraging those relationships to ensure USG is receiving quality service within published SLA’s and within budget.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/related field preferred or significant work experience.
Experience/Requirements
• Knowledge of WiFi networking technology, including emergent standards
• Knowledge of Wide Area Networking technology and experience operating large, international WANs
• Experience with products similar to Cisco ISE, Firepower, ACI, Catalyst Center, and other similar technologies
• A minimum of 5 years in a network technology role preferred
• A minimum of 2 years in a senior management/leadership role
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-quality networks
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
