As part of the Operations Quality team, the Quality Inspector will assure product and process quality with emphasis on Product Compliance to technical documentations and manufacturing standards.  You will have a great and direct impact in our Customer Satisfaction and delivery.

What You Will Do

• Operate and manage Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precise measurements of products.

• Act as the point of contact for external software and machine maintenance requirements and calibrations.

• Plan, coordinate, and utilize resources daily to meet company and customer commitments.

• Apply advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to inspect and verify product quality.

• Inspect a variety of hardware for final acceptance, ensuring compliance with drawings and quality standards.

• Prepare reports, maintain records, and log results, including identifying non-conforming parts.

• Collaborate with teams across departments to address issues, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.

• Perform incidental duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience

• Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers

• Experience reading drawings and blueprints reading

• Experience performing quality inspections

• Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• CMM operations experience, PC DMIS preferred

• Ability to conduct audits per a defined Quality Management System

• Experience communicating with engineering teams, facilitators, and managers

• Experience conducting area and process audits

• Proficient knowledge of Factory Operating Systems (SAP/MRP, CMES, IMRO, VM)

The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
