Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Director - Enterprise Data Management to join the Legrand Corporate Team remotely.

 The Director, Data & Analytics leads the design, development, and implementation of information, data, and analytics architectures, roadmaps, and best practices that produce business outcomes. Strong focus on defining the data solutions, data management, and analytics environment that will enable more efficient and effective decision making. This leader will partner with stakeholders to support strategic services including feasibility studies, data and analytics strategy, project estimation and data governance.Other responsibilities for this role include understanding and driving Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) solutions on multi-terabyte databases, data lake, data warehouse, reporting solutions, system integration design, application design, interoperability, process integrity across multiple platforms and resolving technical issues. The role also requires working experience and a good understanding of MDM, ETL and Business Intelligence toolsets to ensure database design supports reporting requirements. Strong communication skills and an ability to drive requirements definition are also essential to this role.   Responsibilities
  • Drive and Deliver data architecture design and solutions for critical projects in collaboration with business partners and IT stakeholders
  • Manage technical delivery for related design reviews, projects and development work with consultants and internal resources
  • Define and deliver consistent ETL standards, methodologies, guidelines & techniques
  • Support Enterprise initiatives like data lake, MDM, API Management, data governance etc.,
  • Diagnose complex problems, determine remediation strategy and leverage resources to address them accordingly
  • Address performance and scalability issues when identified and perform capacity planning at least annually
  • Collaborate with various stakeholder on new projects and support initiatives
  • Assist data analysts and end users across all functional areas to identify long-term, strategic data needs for the enterprise, defining how the data is related to the business processes and maintaining an enterprise logical and functional model of the data
  • Develop a strong understanding and support enterprise data governance
  • Assist and advocate for bringing new technologies for data management, governance and usage
  • Ability to understand emerging technologies to drive software evaluations, PoCs and pilots
  • Lead and managed a team of 5 or more 

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years managing teams
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in working as leader in data and analytics space
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in data architecture environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reporting tools like Tableau, Qlik or Power BI
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with data warehouse development on a major RDBMS (Oracle,  DB2, SQL server)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working as leader in data and analytics space
  • Solid understanding in Data Modelling with OLTP and OLAP concepts
  • Experience and willingness to mentor and coach technical team members
