ABOUT THE ROLE

E15 Data Services Ignite Internship Program

May 2024 – August 2024

You’re someone who loves coding and data analysis as much as your team winning the World Series. You’re a passionate foodie and known as a creative problem solver, a collaborator, and an innovator. To you, there’s nothing better than uncovering the “Why?” or solving a tough problem.

Join us in Chicago for the Summer 2024 Data Services Ignite Internship Program with E15, a data analytics and information services company, and Compass Group, the international leader in culinary experiences, orchestrating a symphony of flavors and experience on a global scale.

 

Position Description:

As an intern in this 10-week program, you’ll have the opportunity to work with an engineering team that collaborates with some of the biggest brands in sports and entertainment. You will be matched to a project that may involve providing better performance reporting, building predictive models, optimizing operations, creating new insights, and performing a wide range of other data-driven activities that help grow the business. The program is intended to be in-person with interns working from E15’s Home Office located in downtown Chicago, IL 3-4 days per week, 1-2 remote workdays per week. Please note: a housing subsidy will be provided to assist in temporary relocation.

 

Responsibilities:

• Determine data needs for a given analytical problem
• Enhance data assets
• Examine current performance and forecast future outcomes using predictive data modeling
• Build polished reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Present/communicate analysis to internal stakeholders

You Have:

• Demonstrated experience analyzing complex data
• Excellent communication and data presentation skills
• Strong engineering talent and entrepreneurial mindset
• Desire to problem solve with data
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• A good command of statistics
• A collaborative work style
• A curious mindset

 

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with one or more of Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker
• Experience with some of the following techniques: regression models, classification models, optimization models, database querying, visual discovery, or complex financial modeling
