Job Description

This position will be responsible for working with News Field & Production Operations to facilitate the posting of weekly schedules for all NABET represented engineers and crew for all locations.  Overall responsibility for assuring that on Payroll closing all the information flows accurately and all tours are paid correctly.  The Director will have responsibility for processing all new hires and setting up all new vendors following the established processes. 

This position will also be responsible for establishing overseas rates and participate in all overseas assignments. This position also manages all incoming questions/requests for issues with payroll and invoices  (i.e., updating tax forms, addresses and banking info. Etc.)

This position is looked upon by the department as the expert in pay rules, work rules, all financial tools in order to ascertain that all employees are accurately compensated for all the work tours on a weekly basis.  Along with the team members this person will be highly regarded to assist all managers and employees when traveling state side or overseas. Must be able to make quick decisions when called upon. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with remote production activities including manpower scheduling, budgeting, and all NBC Universal Payroll systems i.e., STORM, Timekeeper, etc. 
  • 10+ years’ experience working with the following union contracts- NABET, IA and DGA, SAG AFTRA
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, effective under aggressive timelines and high-pressure situations, excellent communicator, and relationship builder.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive assignments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ad hoc report as needed by the department. Maintain yearly NABET vacation/payback accruals/usage
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other News Field areas for best practices
  • Expert knowledge of NBC NABET Master Agreement and appliable penalties as they relate to News Field Group
  • Expert knowledge of STORM scheduling application, SNAP, Basware, and Timekeeper pay rules
  • Self-motivated
  • Must exhibit a sense of urgency with regard to client servicing
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Must be flexible in work schedule

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
