About the role
Control Risks is looking for a prospective Driving Instructor, the potential successful candidate will be required on an ad hoc basis. The aim of this role is to deliver driver training to our local national workforce in Maputo and Pemba inline with our SOPs.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Provides expert guidance on driving policies in accordance with Control Risks’ SOPs.
- Designs and develops course structure and syllabi which he/she will deliver as appropriate to Control Risks personnel and clients, including but not limited to:
- Practical Driving Training
- Theory Driving Training
- Ensures driving training records are kept up-to-date.
- Advises Country Management Team on Techniques, Tatics & Proceedures (TTP)
- Develop TTP’s in line with operational requirements
- Conduct Quality Assurance of drivers
- Work closely with Associate Director Training Iraq to ensure alignment of the HRMS processes are followed
Knowledge and experience
- Training management experience in a commercial environment
- Considerable training experience, preferable from within a military/ police training establishment at senior management level
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Displays excellent training methodology and thorough understanding of the principles of a Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
Requirements
Essential
- United Kingdom Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (UK DVSA ADI) (minimum grade ‘4’ or ‘B’)
- UK DVSA ADI ‘Fleet registered’
- Advanced driving qualification, ROSPA gold/Cardington grade A/IAM or equivalent
- Applicants with national equivalent qualifications will be considered and assessed against UK standards
Desirable
- Internationally recognised teaching qualification, minimum level 3 (example PTLLS)
- DIA Diploma in Driving Instruction
- BTEC level 3 or above (Driving/coaching based)
- Membership of professional body (example DIA)
