Sr. Manager, Data Security and Protection

POSITION SUMMARY:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate new and emerging security technologies to address the gaps identified in data security and privacy protection

All aspects of data security & privacy technology and tool design, architecture, and equipment lifecycle - design, build, and run

Provide awareness training to the workforce on information security standards, policies, and best practices.

Lead the security and data privacy initiatives execution across Engineering, IT, and security domains

Drive the implementation and operation of OneTrust, BigID, DLP, or other data privacy protection/governance tools

Lead cross-functional teams in developing processes and automation to reduce privacy risk. Drive Privacy-by-Design program in support of custom product software development

Liaise with corporate Privacy Office to translate global Privacy requirement into security controls and measures performance

Perform regular information security procedure reviews and system attestations to ensure accuracy and compliance for internal and external audit. Also support corporate compliance in enforcing security standards for all users.
QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of related experience, which includes a minimum of 3+ years of specific experience in large enterprise information security & privacy operations technologies, tools and processes.

Current Industry certificates: CISSP, CIPP/IAPP, CISA, CISM, preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Understand data mapping and process workflow in support of privacy framework

Expert knowledge in GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, NIST CSF, and ISO standards

Experience with data protection tools implementation and administration, such as OneTrust, BigID, DLP, etc.

Expert knowledge in data encryption, tokenization, key management, and test data management

Expert knowledge in data protection design and practices throughout data life-cycle: data at rest, in transition, and in use

Experienced in data protection and governance practices in AWS, GCP environment

Experienced in data protection and governance practices in common SaaS platforms such as Snowflake, SalesForce, GSuite, Slack, etc.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.San Carlos, CA $1—$1 USD
