Responsibilities
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize York’s tax position and advise senior management on the tax impact of business activities.
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all federal, state, local and international tax returns and reports.
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740
• Interact with M&A team to maximize tax attributes in proposed transactions
• Represent York in any tax audits conducted by any tax authorities
• Identify and mitigate tax risks to ensure York operates in compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Responsible for directing outside service providers performing various functions including compliance activities
• Other responsibilities as required


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP ASC 740
• Big 4 tax experience a plus but not required
• Indirect tax experience a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software tools to enhance efficiency and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams
• CPA license a plus
