What’s the role? The Senior Hub Business Expert at ZEISS plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's transformative journey towards process harmonization and standardization. With a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and a keen focus on SAP environments, the successful candidate will manage business requirements and design necessary process adaptations. This role is pivotal to the successful transition from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA and will contribute significantly to the realignment of business processes across the global Group. With their excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills, the Senior Hub Business Expert will navigate the complexities of the ZEISS Fit4 program, facilitating efficient, effective, and compliant operations across all segments and countries.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Manage regional/segment-specific business requirements, including business roles and data design, in the context of the global template SAP S/4HANA system during local fit-gap analyses.
  • Drive adaptation of end-to-end business processes towards SAP S/4 HANA goals of harmonization and standardization, leveraging an in-depth understanding of at least one end-to-end business process (such as Lead-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Engineer-to-Order, Idea-to-Market, Service-to-Customer, Plan-to-Produce, Inbound-to-Outbound, Record-to-Report, or specialty areas like Quality Management or Master Data Management).
  • Liaise with entity business experts on preparatory work, such as data cleansing and SAP daily work in the current system and the new system (Hands-On)
  • Provide guidance and steer junior hub business experts in requirements analysis and business process modeling.
  • Design and own test cases and conduct functional end-to-end tests in the SAP S/4HANA system, using experience with SAP R/3 and ideally SAP S/4HANA, as well as relevant third-party business systems.
  • Actively contribute to the roll-in of assigned projects within a region, mainly within a segment, and, if necessary, across SBUs/segments.
  • Contribute to the creation of training materials and support end-user training, as organized by the training lead.

Do you qualify?
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP modules and understanding about their integration with SAP HANA to effectively analyze and optimize business processes.
  • Experience in successfully managing major transformation projects, specifically focused on enhancing SAP Sales and Distribution processes, showcasing a commitment to driving SAP Business Excellence.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams and influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong SAP experience of more than 7+ years, with hands-on expertise in SAP R3 modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), and Controlling (CO).
  • In-depth understanding of SAP's various modules and functionalities, enabling effective analysis and optimization of business processes.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project implementation and management.

The annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.  ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
