Lead IT Engineer, AI Cloud Solutions

We are looking for an Lead Engineer, AI Cloud Solutions to join our global IT team. In this hands-on technical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud-based AI solutions to solve complex business problems and to achieve our strategic objectives by utilizing a deep understanding of the latest AI technologies, frameworks, and tools as well as extensive experience with machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), natural language processing (NLP), and AI infrastructure.

This role is hybrid (2-3 days per week in-office) and based in our Niles, IL location. 

Responsibilities

•  Develop and drive the AI vision and strategy in alignment with business goals.
•  Identify opportunities for AI adoption and recommend innovative solutions.
•  Design scalable AI architectures utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.
•  Lead the selection and integration of AI frameworks and platforms.
•  Oversee the end-to-end AI solution lifecycle, from data ingestion to model deployment.
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
•  Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI technologies and frameworks.
•  Evaluate and integrate new tools and methodologies to enhance AI capabilities.
•  Ensure AI solutions comply with data security standards and privacy regulations.
•  Work closely with security teams to integrate AI systems securely within the enterprise infrastructure.
•  Monitor AI system performance and implement optimizations for scalability and efficiency.
•  Utilize tools like Prometheus and Grafana for system monitoring.
•  Conduct regular audits and evaluations of AI systems to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience, with 3+ years of experience in AI roles, 3+ years in an architectural or leadership position, 5+ years of experience in cloud services. Must have demonstrated experience in integrating AI technologies into business applications to solve real-world problems.
• Proficiency with cloud AI services like Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, or Google Cloud AI Platform, Experience building AI Agents using AI Agentic frameworks like (Semantic Kernel, LangChain),
• Strong programming skills in Python, C# or Java. Knowledge of building multimodal agents using Autogen and developing AI-powered solutions using low code development tools such as Power Platform and Copilot Studio, Experience implementing secure AI Solutions.
• Global experience preferred.
