System Integration and Test Software Engineering Lead

Job Description

Seeking a Software Engineer capable of advanced system test, integration and debug. This role will be responsible for testing, integrating and debugging SEAKR’s Software and Hardware Systems. The engineer will be part of a team working to develop, integrate, and test space qualified software and hardware components. Highly qualified candidates will support formal test campaigns and debug of custom satellite hardware destined for space deployment.

• The Lead Engineer will be the primary point of contact for system control and operation during development and test
• The Lead Engineer will develop and review formal test procedures, scripts, and software suites for validation of the avionics system
• The Lead Engineer will maintain status information on tests, bug reports, and team blockers for engagement with management and external customers
• The Lead Engineer will be responsible for technical leadership of 2-10 System Integration and Test Software Engineers

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Field
• Background in requirements based engineering development
• Previous experience leading small to large teams
• Experience working with one or more of: High Speed Serial/SerDes links, I2C, SpaceWire, 1553, SPI, Ethernet, UART
• Demonstrated capability to develop and debug C, C++, Python, Lua and/or other scripting languages
• Previous experience working in a Linux command line environment
• Background in software defined radios or RF signal testing preferred

Additional Information

Compensation: Base pay range is $100,000 - 145,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
