About the role:

Softheon is looking for an analytical, proactive, and self-starting individual with a passion for driving new products and product capabilities from initial definition of requirements to managing the lifecycle of the product. A Product Manager plays an important role in a business and is generally considered the ‘CEO of the product’, who is responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap and strategy for the business’ product and/or product line. The position of Product Manager involves product forecasting, marketing, and sometimes even profit and loss responsibilities. 

The Product Manager analyzes the market and competitive conditions subsequently laying out a product vision that is differentiated from other products’ in the market. The Product Manager is tasked with the delivery of unique value-based products based on the consumer demands. 

This role encompasses numerous activities from tactical to statistical roles and acts as a cross-functional link, bridging gaps within the business between various functions and departments, most prominently between engineering, sales, and marketing teams. Finally, Product Managers are expected to be deeply familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle and agile principles.

Requirements

You will:

  • Ensure that the business has an intimate understating of the consumer experience in order to identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas that grow the business’s market share, and the improvement of the consumer experience in order to drive growth. 
  • Analyze and evaluate the acquired information with various analytical tools. 
  • Be responsible for following up and ensuring the translation of product strategies into tangible results.  
  • Be responsible for organizing and maintaining product backlog. 
  • Be tasked with driving product launches.  
  • Work closely with the Engineering Team, the Operations team during launches, among other cross-functional collaborations with product departments in the performance of his/her functions. 
  • Conduct product evaluation and formulates promotional measures.  
  • Align product launch activities with marketing activities. 
  • Be tasked with providing senior management with information by preparing short-term as well as long-term product roadmap strategies, sales forecasts, and other analyses that enable the senior management to execute more complex tasks and assist them in decision. 
  • Strive to grow both professionally and with regards to the technical aspects of their respective field and their product specialization. 

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, and Technology or a closely related field. Relevant Experience accepted.
  • 2 to 3 years’ work experience or related internship experience preferred. In addition to educational requirements. 
  • Candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft Visio and all Microsoft Office Suites 
  • Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition management systems & methodologies 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal communication while managing simultaneous projects 
  • Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to constantly improving capacity to work effectively while having a willingness to learn new things
