QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 Associates degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Three years of customer service experience. Face-to-face customer interaction preferred. Progressively responsible experience balancing and reconciling financial accounts in a customer service environment required. Knowledge of transportation services and operating policies and procedures is desired. Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for administering personnel policies, training of new staff and on-going training of existing staff.

2. Reviews and approves daily sales activity, summarizes sales activity of all sales

personnel, prepares daily deposits for pick-up by banking transfer agent and prepares

required accounting documents for submission.

3. Ensures all MARTA RideStores are stocked with Breeze Fare-Media. 

4. Provides face-to face customer interaction for restitution, for card/ticket, malfunction,

regional adjustments and loss of monies and fare in the Vending Machines via

MARTA’s AFC interface.

5. Maintains data for Nextfare System and Graphical User Interface for Breeze card

inquiries, research transactions, registration, and processing. 

6. Performs random security system checks to ensure safety of staff and safeguard of all

revenue and media.

7. Performs random audits, to ensure financial controls are in place. Ensures customer

issues are addressed in a timely, efficient, effective, and customer focused manner, in

accordance with MARTA policies and procedures. Documents and responds to all

customer inquiries regarding MARTA’s Automated Fare Collection System. Assists

in researching load failures via the Nextfare system.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Ridestore personnel, which includes administering personnel policies, training of new staff and on-going training of existing staff (RideStore Customer Service Specialists).

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must undergo a thorough background investigation. Must successfully pass credit reference check and background investigation by GCIC (Georgia Criminal Information Center). Note: Work week and hours worked are variable.
