Vice President of Engineering Credit

<p><strong>We are recruiting at Tinubu a <strong>Vice President of Engineering </strong></strong>to lead our credit engineering team.This role requires strong technical leadership, strategic planning, and a passion for fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.</p><p>The Vice President of Engineering oversees the design , development , testing and maintenance of the new platform. Consequently this role includes the management of two divisions.<br/></p><h3><strong>Responsibilities : </strong></h3><ul> <li><strong>Leadership &amp; Strategy:</strong> Develop and implement the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company's goals and product vision.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Team Management:</strong> Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, including software developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and technical managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Product Development:</strong> Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software products, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, scalability, and performance.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Technical Excellence:</strong> Champion best practices in software engineering, architecture, and agile methodologies. Ensure technical debt is managed effectively.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment on product strategy, requirements, and delivery timelines.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Budget &amp; Resource Management:</strong> Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient use of resources and on-time delivery of projects.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Innovation &amp; R&amp;D:</strong> Drive innovation within the engineering team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance product offerings.<br/></li> <li><strong>Risk Management:</strong> Identify technical risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Customer Focus:</strong> Ensure that customer feedback and needs are integrated into the product development process, striving for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.</li> </ul><h4><strong>Requirements :</strong></h4><ul> <li><strong>Business orientated:</strong> Engage with both Customers and Investors to understand their outcome and find the best ways to meet them <strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Operating Model : </strong>Implement the hybrid squad model with a significant share of Indian resources in the teams using the group scrum-like methodology (story points , etc…)<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Data driven :</strong> Establish and monitor the group productivity KPI to provide a high level of observability to our investors.(e.g Squad metrics, sprints completion against commitment, velocity and maturity level)<strong><br/></strong></li> <li><strong>Budget Management</strong>: Build and manage the budget to meet the financial forecast and secure profitability.
