Job Summary
Responsible for the architecture and the overall technical vision and direction of the Cyber Security Product organization. Architects B2B product solutions, business standards, goals, strategies and objectives (within assigned areas) that are competitive with industry standards and strives to arrive at those goals. Monitors and assists in creating annual and quarterly budgets. Develops and leads a team of dynamic cyber engineering staff and assures work performance is in adherence to company and industry standards. Acts as a technical resource to product management across the department and lateral departments. Exercises solid knowledge of cyber engineering skills and methodology with a working knowledge of applicable cyber security compliance standards and best practices. Applies innovative solutions for cyber engineering developmental problems that are competitive with industry and company standards. Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas. Manages professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Ensures appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives. Influences, shapes, and integrates strategy for functional area(s). This role is also responsible for leading a Core Implementation Engineering team focused on implementing changes, capacity upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management related to Comcast Business's global network infrastructure.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Leads all Cyber Security engineering efforts in partnership with Cyber Security Product to evaluate vendor solutions, architect, document, train Operations, and launch CB's Cyber Security products. Assists in creating quarterly and annual budgets and monitors and approves all expenditures and capital projects associated with the Engineering department. Plans and facilitates activities related to the preparation of capital and operating budgets and forecasts of operations. Communicates engineering strategies and objectives effectively within the department and across the organization. Delegates responsibilities and assists with software development and operations to ensure strategies and objectives are being met in an organized and timely fashion. Monitors overall work processes and standard procedures to ensure performance is to company and industry standards. Stays knowledgeable of competition and important emerging technologies and standards. Establishes and develops staff through ongoing training programs, procedures, communication skills, policies, technical skills etc. Applies background and understanding of Network protocols at all layers, Secure Routing, DNS/DNSSEC, Network Device Security for a broad spectrum of vendors and devices, experience with SDN and automation, understanding and expert ability to troubleshoot network issues and network stacks of different platforms, e.g. TCP tuning, queue management for various OSs, H/A architecture and strategies. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to manage and assist with international logistics, contractor management, and vendor management. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
