OBJECTIVES 

 

The Senior Manager, Business Operations, will lead the Oncology Therapeutic Area Unit (OTAU) with end-to-end oversight of OTAU Healthcare Provider (HCP) contracts, sponsorship agreements and external research requests.  

 

The Senior Manager is accountable for the effective operation of the OTAU HCP contracts ecosystem: from coordinating with key business partners on policy and process, to ensuring each contract is routed efficiently and compliantly through Takeda's internal approvals and processing systems, to training and monitoring junior staff. 

 

The Senior Manager effectively represents OTAU's interests in contract-related workstreams and change initiatives led by partner functions. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

                                                                                                                                             Leadership 

  • Serves as the OTAU lead on all HCP-related workstreams and committees, taking full responsibility for all tools and processes generating out of these bodies and affecting OTAU HCP contracting agility, including escalating risks when necessary 

  • Tracks and reports on contracting completion metrics, and escalates gaps or delays to be swiftly addressed 

  • Trains and mentors junior members of the OTAU Business Operations team to ensure business continuity and to provide opportunities for career development .

  • Works closely with clinical scientists to ensure they locate and partner with HCP’s most value-add to their programs 

  • Advises internal OTAU contract requestors on contracting elements, including Fair Market Rate, based
