Staff Accountant
Position Summary
This Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with product costing and pricing, inventory reporting, and Accounts Payable analysis.
Essential Responsibilities
- Standard cost maintenance and inventory monitoring/reporting
- Develop standard rates for materials and labor
- Update and maintain global price books for product parts
- Collect and analyze tariff data
- Analyze and research various Accounts Payable accruals
- Work with Purchasing and AP teams to close outdated Purchase Orders
- Ensure AP Purchase Order matching is accurate
- Assist AP Manager with reviewing various reports, such as AP aging
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Support the Finance team with reporting and analysis
- Perform other accounting duties associated with the Finance department
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Oracle ERP experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills through e-mail, telephone, and instant messaging
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be self-driven creative, and motivated to build new skills and grow with the position
- Curious mindset, willing to ask questions in order to gain confidence to make decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to comprehend fast-paced business issues and practices
- Must have 2+ years in an Accounting Role
Physical/Work Environments
- Worker will be working in an office setting
- Sitting for an extended period of time
Salary range - $65K-$80K - based on experience.
