Job Description
The Associate will be an integral investment team member focused on Tricon’s investments in single-family rental, land/for-sale housing development and multifamily rental in North America, working closely with other investment team members to underwrite and execute new acquisitions, manage existing investments and assist with corporate growth initiatives.- Create and manage complex financial models, pro-formas and other analyses required in connection with underwriting new investments and managing existing assets.
- Prepare internal and external presentations to help build consensus on deal team’s recommendations
- Monitor market and economic activity to develop investment theses and drive investment level decisions
- Support project and portfolio level asset management for a variety of assets, running day-to-day management and preparing / reviewing reporting packages and other investment materials
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports for existing investments and independently present quarterly asset reviews to senior management
- Work in small teams to analyze business plans, develop informed opinions and make recommendations to directly implement changes to go-forward plans
- Create presentations and financial analyses to assist with various corporate growth initiatives
- Operate in small high visibility teams with substantial individual responsibility, integrity, and significant exposure /accountability to all levels of internal and external senior management
Qualifications:
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills with a direct, professional communication style
- Expert financial modeling skills with an in-depth understanding of complex finance and accounting concepts. Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Self-starter and “can-do” attitude with demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats and grow into various roles and responsibilities within the company over time
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think “outside the box”, and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to succeed in a very fast paced environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-3 years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, real estate investment management, real estate development or corporate finance/lending
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant degree

Salary Range
Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.
$128,840.00 - $214,730.00Annual Discretionary Bonus Opportunity
