About the Job:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Regional Director-Finance is an essential member of the finance operations department and supports the Divisional Chief Financial Officer in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and offering strategic insights for company growth. The Regional Director of Finance will contribute to key financial decisions, manage budgeting processes, and streamline financial reporting to enhance the organization's overall financial health.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the DCFO in the development and implementation of financial strategies.
• Oversee and monitor facility daily operations, flash reporting, and financial controls over payroll, accounts payable, capital expenditure requests and purchases.
• Perform month-end closing review and generate financial statements by facility. 
• Analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Support the budget preparation and forecasting processes, providing insightful variance analysis.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop financial plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Research and analyze financial data to recognize trends, recommend solutions and support strategic decision-making to optimize performance.
• Participates in the Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) with Summit Divisional Management and provides explanations and insight for each facility assigned.
• Provides ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assists DCFO in preparing monthly MOR and implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
• Works with the Director-Central Billing Office to monitor the Revenue Cycle to ensure that accounts receivable are collected timely and uncompensated care is kept to a minimum. 
• Ensures compliance with Group Purchasing contract and monitors purchases to ensure supply costs are kept to budgeted levels.
• Prepares annual operating budget and participates in the annual strategic planning process which serves as a basis for the budget.
• Provides ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assists the Divisional CFO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
• Provides guidance and assists the DCFO and facility CEOs in ensuring facility is staffed appropriately and that productivity goals are met.
• Collaborate with various departments, leading initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and drive business success.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring staff.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex financial information.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

Three or more years proven supervisory/management experience in finance, preferably in healthcare
