Coinbase is seeking a high-performing partnerships leader to drive net new stablecoin partnerships opportunities as Manager, Stablecoin Business Development. We are looking for a proven leader with business development experience closing complex deals in crypto (ideally stablecoins) to help accelerate our stablecoin growth and adoption efforts. 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Stablecoin Ecosystem Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the ecosystem, including issuers, wallets, centralized exchanges, key Defi projects, custodians,, and industry partners.
• Stablecoin Strategy & Operating Plan: Create and execute a highly successful Business Development (BD) and partnerships strategy and operating plan for stablecoin products, in close partnership with Product and key XFN teams (Legal, Policy, Marketing)
• Market Landscape & Diligence: Evaluate landscape of potential stablecoin partners, conduct analysis to identify opportunities and trends in stablecoins, and lead due diligence efforts of potential partners
• Articulate a winning pitch: Define strategies that demonstrate and clearly articulate the Coinbase value-add to potential partners
• Track record of closing deals: Negotiate and sign deals that both result in win-win economics and align  long-term synergies with partners

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): To be completed by all business teams except Eng. 

• 7-8 years in Fintech/crypto/Payments business development experience, with a track record of closing high-impact deals with large, complex partners
• In-depth knowledge of the stablecoin industry and experience closing deals involving crypto
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Track record of working collaboratively with internal teams such as Product, Legal, Policy, and Marketing
• Ability to deliver results in dynamic, fast-moving environments
• Passion for crypto and stablecoins

Nice to haves:

• Direct experience working with / closing deals involving major stablecoins such as USDC
• Extensive personal network of contacts within crypto and key stablecoin players
