Position Summary

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer ensures product and process excellence across two Louisville facilities. This role owns automated inspection system performance, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners cross functionally to improve yield, reduce downtime, and strengthen overall equipment effectiveness.

This is a high impact role with strong growth potential within a global manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Quality Management System components, including audits, document control, and corrective actions.

• Own the performance and accuracy of automated inspection and vision systems.

• Analyze defect data and lead improvements to reduce cost of poor quality.

• Conduct process capability studies and validate new products and processes.

• Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing to strengthen process and supplier quality.

• Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns.

• Train production and quality teams on inspection systems and quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.

• 3 to 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with automated inspection or vision systems preferred.

• Working knowledge of statistical analysis, process capability, and structured problem solving methods.

• Experience with coatings or sublimation processes is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross functional teams.

Work Environment

Based primarily at the Grassland facility in Louisville, with support at a second local site as needed. The role includes time in both office and production environments.
