Patient Estimator Rep - FT - Day - Capital Medical Group

Capital Health Medical Group is made up of more than 250 physicians and other providers who offer primary and specialty care, as well as hospital-based services, to patients throughout the region.

Position Overview:

• Manages calls and emails from website for pricing requests.
• Determines contracted rate for services using patient's insurance information and doctor's orders.
• Runs patients' benefits information through Capital Health's eligibility tool to determine out of pocket amounts.
• Communicates estimate of patients' out of pocket amounts verbally and sends a completed Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to the patient via email or mail.
• Acts as a liaison between Credit and Collection and the Medicaid/Charity Care vendor to assist patients with signing up for financial assistance.
• Works with Central Scheduling and the clinics to ensure that all patients receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE).
• Collects Point of Service payments prior to or on dates of service.
• Performs other duties for the department as needed and assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of previous work experience in a medical office or hospital setting. Experience in customer service role preferred.

• Occasional physical demands include: Standing , Walking , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead
• Continuous physical demands include: Sitting , Keyboard use/repetitive motion
