As a Senior Analyst in our ABS Structured Finance Ratings team, you will play a critical role in evaluating credit risk and providing market-leading ratings opinions that help shape global capital markets. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze credit quality of collateral pools, reviewing performance data, credit models, underwriting criteria, and macroeconomic factors
  • Complete end-to-end ratings processes for new issue transactions and surveillance of outstanding transactions
  • Perform comprehensive cash flow analysis and synthesize results for rating committees in a timely manner
  • Review legal and operating documents to ensure criteria compliance and identify structural issues, providing feedback to external parties
  • Actively manage relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors while effectively communicating S&P's methodologies
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations to rating committees, making recommendations and participating in deliberations
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, including banking or financial services
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, financial models, and financial data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and their relationship to S&P products
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CFA designation
  • Experience in structured finance or securitization markets
  • Previous experience with rating agencies or investment banking
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,909.00 to $140,000.00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
