Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour which includes a $5.00 per hour shift differential for working weekend shift. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Job Summary
Quality duties include preventing, troubleshooting and problem-solving quality issues in manufacturing. This involves auditing manufacturing, quality procedures and equipment. Coaching Sportech personnel in aspects of product quality within the Sportech Management System (SMS). Quality technicians also work very closely with internal departments and external suppliers on quality related issues with resolution. Quality technicians may be involved in multiple business processes including Development, Customer Service, Supply Chain, engineering, and Manufacturing.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the quality assurance resource to value stream leadership for scrap prevention, problem identification, resolution, scrap reporting and continual improvement.
- Utilize data to solve quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Problem solves issues, disposition and follow up on internal & supplier non-conformances.
- Processes supplier DMR’s with credit resolution.
- Performs period material audits to determine conformity and customer specifications.
- Interfaces with value stream leadership and suppliers to resolve quality issues and assure conformance to all appropriate requirements. This includes all applicable corrective actions.
- Performs line audits to meet internal process standards and customer requirements.
- Involved with continuous improvement projects.
- Participate in daily cell board performance meetings in manufacturing and warehouse.
- Actively supports lean concepts/methodologies.
- Monitor process improvement initiatives to ensure new processes are working as intended.
- Recommend, support and implement improvements, modifications, or additions that will improve business processes.
- Propose potential new manufacturing/business technologies, including new equipment or business systems.
- Monitors and troubleshoots technology including work instruction software.
- Maintains smart drill functionality.
- Maintains vision system accuracy with programming knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Vocational or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High school diploma or GED from accredited institution.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft suite (excel, work, outlook, project).
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
