Position Overview:

As a Sr. Specialist in Software Engineering, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery process of software applications or services. This includes design, development, testing, deployment, production application support, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and Review: Gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

• Development and Testing: Implement specific development methodologies using various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans/strategies based on business requirements. Collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc., to validate test environments, test data, and test results. Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting.

• Comprehensive Testing: Perform Unit Testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing.

• Support and Maintenance: Provide application support, troubleshoot configuration and environment issues, and support the software deployment process.

Job Contribution:

You will be a technical professional with some experience, possessing sound technical knowledge that is growing through application and expanding knowledge of AT&T technologies.

Education and Experience:

• Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Developer Nanodegree, or equivalent experience.

• Experience: Typically requires 2-3 years of relevant experience.

• Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in a scaled agile development environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Angular (modules, controllers, directives, filters, and factories).

  • Proficient in Bootstrap Grid and web application development using HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3 (SASS, LESS), JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS (1.0 & 2.0), AJAX, JSON, Node.js, and ReactJS.

  • Experience in database administration, development, design, maintenance, and production support of relational databases, business applications, and new server setup in Azure.

  • Experience in MySQL, MariaDB, Java, Spring Boot, and Azure Infrastructure Administration preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Tomcat server, Eclipse, Putty, HeidiSQL (MariaDB client), and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

  • Proficient in managing security and networking of cloud resources.

Our Sr Specialist Software Engineering, earns between $105,600.00-$158,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
