About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Government Compliance Analyst within our Government Compliance team. The Government Compliance Analyst will report to the Director of Government Compliance.

The Government Compliance Analyst will work with the Government Compliance team to develop the company’s Incurred Cost Submissions and supports the ensuring audits by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and other Federal audit agencies. The Government Compliance Analyst will regularly interact with Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, and Contracts organizations to ensure the company’s proposals, submissions, and business systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and disclosed practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to DCAA, DCMA and other Federal agency audit requests
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant audit deliverables and packages
  • Prepare reports summarizing audit findings for management review
  • Interface with government and customer auditors
  • Perform reconciliations and analysis of data for presentation to government auditors
  • Compile and analyze data to assist in the completion of the company’s incurred cost submissions
  • Support analysis of indirect rate structures and cost allocations
  • Perform various financial analyses for management based on business needs
  • Research, analyze and resolve issues raised by government auditors
  • Interact and interface with internal organizations to understand data and the impact to the organization
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policy, laws and regulations
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Location: This role will primarily be a teleworker in the Washington DC Metro Area, but will be required to travel as necessary to Peraton’s facilities primarily in the Northern, VA area (Reston and Herndon).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS
  • Prior government contracting experience
  • Experience working with the DCAA, DCMA, or other Federal audit agencies
  • Familiarity with indirect rates (pools and bases) and indirect rate development
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Deltek Costpoint experience preferred but not required
  • US Citizenship

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
