Job Description Summary

This role is a part of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Learner Experience Program in Undergraduate Medical Education (IDEAL MEd) within the Perelman School of Medicine and is responsible for overseeing and supporting a portfolio of school/department programs, projects and operational initiatives. He/She/They oversee the coordination of day-to-day activities, as well as contribute to the design, execution and evaluation of assigned high school pipeline programs and key initiatives under the scope of community engagement.

Job Description

Pipeline Program Support

  • Coordinate the execution of high school pipeline programs including the Education Pipeline Program, Summer Mentorship Program and Physician Track Program each year including any additional programs as they are implemented.
  • Create and manage assessment tools for all pipeline programs to measure effectiveness and reach of each initiative.
  • Manage and track budget/spending for all programs.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring and support for student workers.
  • Provide supplemental direct service and support to high school students, undergraduates, as well as medical school students where/when appropriate.
  • Develop materials highlighting program outcomes to all appropriate constituents.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the Assistant Dean for Diversity Recruitment and the Director of IDEAL Med.

Community Engagement Initiatives Support

  • Provide administrative support to the student clinical committee (CLINICOM) programs and leadership including coordinating monthly meetings, events and medical student site placement at the sites.
