Job Title: Product Development and Production Coordinator, Ready-to-Wear Outlet 

 

Primary Purpose: The Coordinator will support the product development and production cycle of the Outlet Ready-to-Wear Team. Communicating daily with internal cross functional partners and external service providers to ensure major milestones are achieved within the timelines published. Responsible for the completion of bill of materials, support in costing process and tracking of collection at each stage of development through production. The Coordinator with be the key point person for daily vendor communication and address all issues pertinent to accurate execution of product from development through to production ex-factory.

 

Hybrid role, based at 10 Hudson Yards, NY in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Product Development to...

 

  • Build and maintain Bill of Materials for Outlet product
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) daily with overseas service providers as well as with internal cross functional partners regarding status of product samples and materials
  • Build and maintain sample tracking WIP for each Service Provider in Excel
  • Manage, track, monitor and report on sample and delivery status utilizing factory WIP report
  • Review all samples received and check for accuracy, execution, and understanding of Design’s intent
  • Create and maintain product costing chart for each season in Excel
  • Coordinate the sending of development packages and corresponding materials for development samples to Service Provider
  • Prepare shipping documents for sample materials in UPS & DHL system & track sample deliveries
  • Update Costing in Excel Spreadsheets & EcVision; supporting the approval and validation of costing in EcVision
  • Work with manager to create and set FOB and Material price targets with suppliers
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Support Manager in material development for Denim & Knit Rib

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

 

  • 1-3 year’s experience in product development and production; knowledge of basic garment construction preferred.
  • Experience working with both overseas and domestic factories strongly preferred
  • Basic retail math skills
  • Passion for fashion & RTW product cycle
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a sense of urgency and flexibility
  • Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter who is solution orientated
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, EcVision  

 

An outstanding professional will have...

 

  • Experience working with both overseas and domestic manufacturers, preferred
  • Experience working for a luxury a brand with runway shows a plus
  • An understanding of woven product lead times and garment construction knowledge
  • Basic retail math skills preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships within teams
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment
