IGN is seeking a Creative Strategy Lead to provide guidance and expertise on how to craft paid-for campaigns across the IGN Entertainment portfolio that will appeal to and engage its various audiences and simultaneously achieve client goals. The Strategy Lead develops campaign pitches that are focused on content alignment, content marketing, social media, native advertising, ad products, events, and more. This role requires an ability to generate ideas that align with the fan culture that comprises IGN Entertainment users’ interests - video games, movies, TV shows, collectibles, comic books, anime, tech, and more - in a way that is in-line with the needs of our clients.This role sits within the global creative solutions team which has staff in LA, New York, London and Sydney and will work alongside multiple teams (such as sales, and revenue operations) from each location daily. The creative solutions team is responsible for helping to ideate, visualize, and implement ideas for all of IGN Entertainment’s advertisers interested in custom campaigns. Custom campaigns can include any combination of customized ad design, branded content, content sponsorship, digital and physical events, and product launches that run across multiple platforms including IGN.com as well as its social profiles.Key Responsibilities
- Own the RFP ideation and delivery process for anything requiring custom content, integrations, or sponsorship
- Lead inclusive, collaborative, cross-team brainstorms, compile the information, and make recommendations for the best way to accomplish the client’s goals in ways that will resonate with IGN’s audience
- Produce sales copy that make IGN’s proposals appeal to our clients, compellingly describing the ‘why’ behind our ideas and recommendations, and positioning them competitively
- Collaborate with internal partners & our production team to ensure plans are specific and understood by all teams before going out to clients
- Ensure all concepts clearly and concisely demonstrate how they meet the audience, client, and brand goals
- Help price and package custom ideas, working closely with internal team members for both templated and custom concepts
- Lead pitch presentations alongside Sales in client-facing meetings
- Fine-tune solutions based on client feedback
- Collaborate with the Client Services team to identify active pitches and pertinent product details
- Attend internal hand-off meetings to ensure all activations are approached accurately from a pre-to-post sale hand-off perspective
- Advise on direction of content and give constructive feedback on any internal rounds of mocks, drafts, edits, etc.
Job Qualifications
- Familiarity with IGN, its content, and a passion for its subject matter
- An ability to think imaginatively and understand how to practically deliver on their ideas
- Experience in writing sales copy designed to sell ideas to prospective clients, as well as writing production-facing treatments which accurately describe the scope of production
- Great organizational skills - both in organizing themselves and those around them
- Successful management of a dynamic, high-performance team
- Experience working on large cross-department and cross-discipline projects
- 10+ years experience working in digital media
- Experience in the content creation and design process
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing manner
