Aerospace Business Unit
Rexnord Aerospace supplies high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to commercial air transport markets. Our products are engineered to meet stringent requirements and are specified in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures. Our global customer base includes major engine and airframe OEMs, tier suppliers and aircraft operators.
Brief Description
Perform duties to set up and operate a number of different computerized numerical controlled machine tools to perform a wide range of turning, drilling, milling, tapping operations on precision machined components in a work-cell environment. Follow quality and safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Key Accountabilities
Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal as well as written instructions.
Machine and install or re-cut chuck jaws as required.
Experience in running and setting up turning machines with live tooling and y-axis.
Insert and secure tooling in machine turrets.
Use hand tools and manual machines as needed.
Modify existing CNC programs for machines as needed.
Download and upload programs into machine and make programming adjustments as needed.
