Quality Assurance Analysts are responsible for ensuring quality across team/domain specific applications. This is accomplished through: software/web testing; evaluating, and approving of development tasks as completed for their team/domain; developing, modifying and executing software strategies and test plans; analyzing and writing test standards and procedures; maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging; and modification of software.
Costco IT is seeking an individual to join our Ecommerce Fulfillment team. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for designing test cases and scenarios based on stories designed from the business users. The QA Analyst is responsible for adhering to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards, overseeing and/or participating in all aspects of project testing. The WMi Quality Assurance Analyst will have to work independently and as part of various teams in the IT Department.

ROLE
● Analyzes relevant business content and participates in requirement gathering sessions, providing input on requirement and design documents, assessing requirements for testability, clarity, purpose, inherent ambiguity, contradictory functions, and implementation.
● Develops, documents, and leads the Defect Management process.
● Ensures test cases are traceable to originating story/requirement and those tests fully test feature requirements and/or user story acceptance criteria.
● Manages defects appropriately by assigning, monitoring, and providing timely communication through the defect lifecycle.
● Conducts QA risk management process throughout the test plan phase, defining and differentiating between risk, defect, and issue.
● Assists teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to grasp application concepts and tool suite.
● Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions.
● Participates in requirement gathering sessions and gives input on requirement and design documents.
● Reviews requirements for assigned projects and creates test cases as applicable.
● Works closely with the Functional and Development team on testing required code changes.
