Job Description Summary

Under limited supervision, the Financial Administrative Coordinator (FAC) will perform financial and budget management duties for the
Department of Radiation Oncology, Research Division. This includes utilizing Ben Financials and other university systems to facilitate
purchases, process reimbursements, budget reconciliation, transfer of funds, and travel. This incumbent will be knowledgeable on all
university related policies pertaining to travel, reimbursement and procurement. They will work directly with faculty, staff and academic
support positions to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions. Under direct supervision, the FAC will make transactions relating to
grants, restricted and unrestricted funds, gifts and endowments. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with a work week divided
between working onsite and remotely after successful introductory review period.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Exercise resource stewardship to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures. Reinforce policy and proper procedures to department contacts. Respond to requests for information or services from faculty, postdocs, staff and students

  • In BEN, via the marketplace or as a non-marketplace transaction, process and approve requisitions for faculty and lab managers; purchase supplies and equipment for the research division; use the ProCard, as needed, for purchases that fall within the guidelines of card usage

  • Prepare, process and record journal entries in BEN for all grants, restricted/unrestricted funds, gifts, endowments and clinical practices of the the University of Penn (CPUP) funds;compile and summarize data for financial reports; track and clear wayward, suspense and anticipated resource
