About the role
The Library Collections Assistant will help to describe, arrange, digitize, and promote materials for for the Archives and Special Collections at the Wilson Library.
- 1. Process archival materials of various mediums including processing, organizing and inventorying
- Digitize archival materials, ensuring quality control, and uploading material to digital management system
- Arrange displays or digital exhibits showcasing items of interest from the collections
- Photograph various archival items and create flyers, social media, and other content to promote the collections
The physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

- Must be a current ULV student
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively
- Strong work ethic
- Enjoys being creative
- Majoring in or interest in history or political science
- Interest in photography, video creation and editing, and/or event planning
- Knowledge of social media
