Detailed Description:This is a full-time, temporary, benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of October 31, 2027. The appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding.
This role involves managing the intake process for new clients, coordinating their initial assessments, and ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing care. The Intake Coordinator will also maintain a small caseload of clients, providing direct clinical support while overseeing intake activities. The ideal candidate will be a registered associate (AMFT, APCC, ACSW) with a strong interest in working with veterans or their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Intake:
- Manage the intake process for new clients, including conducting initial assessments, gathering necessary documentation, and coordinating the scheduling of assessments and intake appointments.
Case Coordination:
- Facilitate the transition of clients into appropriate services, including coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Provide clients with information about available services and resources.
Direct Clinical Support:
- Maintain a small caseload of clients, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, conducting assessments, and addressing clients' mental health needs as part of your clinical responsibilities.
Documentation:
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of intake activities, client interactions, and treatment plans in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients and their families.
- Provide empathetic and clear communication, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the intake process or services offered.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to streamline the intake process and ensure a smooth flow of information between departments.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed.
Veteran-Specific Support:
- Apply knowledge and experience related to veteran-specific issues to provide tailored support during the intake process.
- Stay informed about the unique needs and challenges faced by veterans and their families.
