Homestead Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, compassionate, dedicated experienced veterinary technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarians and technicians, comfortable in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, and surgery recovery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, know x-ray and positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, is able to use laboratory equipment, understands the importance of client education, is a positive and supportive team player, and strives to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry. Homestead Animal Hospital makes it a priority to provide the highest level of veterinary care to our patients and offer a work-life balance for our team members. • 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
• Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Ability to multi-task efficiently
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
