Function/Duties of Position

The Department of Psychiatry is recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor of the Avel Gordly Center for Healing.  The Clinical Supervisor provides direct mental health and addictions clinical services in a culturally competent manner to outpatient clients by providing evaluation, individual, group, family counseling, case management and timely documentation of clinical services consistent with program standards and relevant OARs.

 

The Clinical Supervisor also provides clinical supervision of counseling staff and students working in the program including individual and group supervision, supervision for licensure, performance evaluations, staff training and scheduling of clinical program staff.  The Clinical Supervisor ensures the highest quality of behavioral health care and is responsible for consultation on patient cases, quality assurance activities, periodic outreach events and programmatic consultation.  The Clinical Supervisor must have a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or another related behavioral health discipline.  Clinical licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT is required for this position.

 

The duties of this position include:

 

Provide 60% direct clinical services to program clients including evaluation, individual, group, family counseling, case management and documentation of clinical services consistent with program standards and relevant OARs. Services provided will reflect cultural competence and knowledge of evidenced based practices regarding the clients and their clinical concerns.

 

Provide clinical supervision of counseling staff and students working in the program including individual and group supervision, supervision for licensure: Clinical staff providing direct services shall receive clinical supervision by a qualified clinical supervisor related to the development, implementation, and outcome of services:

  • Supervision shall be provided to assist program staff
