Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of HRIS (“Director”) and working closely with the Senior Human Resources Generalist (“Generalist”) and other departmental staff, the Data Analysis Co-op (“Analyst”) will play a key role in compiling, analyzing and presenting HR data.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Compile HR reporting and analytics deliverables, including standardized recurring reports, ad hoc queries, analytics presentations, and dashboards.
2) Apply data visualization principles and best practices to effectively tell the story behind large, complex data sets, design exhibits, reports, and dashboards. Assist in the creation of presentations for the as needed
3) Work with the Workday application and other data sources to create integrated views that enhance user access to information and promote a data-driven, self-service culture
4) Assist with the development of data management best practices, user procedures, guidelines, and documentation for HR technology team
5) Build and maintain an understanding of Workday business processes and HR functions as it relates to data and HR reporting
6) Manipulate and extract data while maintaining confidential information
7) Troubleshoot data issues, working with relevant stakeholders. Run quality assurance reports and help clean up exceptions 8) Create visuals of data that are understandable and compelling for different constituencies (executives, HR staff, managers).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1) Coursework in information systems, human resources, statistics, data analysis or data visualization.
2) Excellent software program skills, especially Excel – Candidate must demonstrate the ability to utilize. Experience with Workday as well as report writers such as Informer is a plus. Comfort with learning new technologies.
3) Proven ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
4) Organized, flexible, and able to prioritize/manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to execute quickly as needed.
