About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman

Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.

Job Description

AECOM/Tishman is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Project Manager to support our ongoing construction projects in New York City.

  • Directs and managers the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface. 
  • Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. 
  • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout. 
  • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering or related curriculum and 10 years of demonstrated construction management experience or AA/AS and 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Specific experience in the management of low-voltage large construction projects for a GC or subcontractor. 
  • Experience in major system upgrades and new construction projects. 
  • 10+ years of experience in construction project management.
  • Experience managing deadlines, labor, billing and materials.
  • Management of construction close-out.
  • Advanced education in Electrical Systems. 
  • Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $153,525.49 - $284,022.16 annually (exempt).
