Job Description

THE POSITION:

Develop comprehensive training programs and participate on teams developing training plans for OJT, Reg/QA and leadership development programs. Plan, develop, and provide training to satisfy the needs of the organization

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize a multimedia approach to learning in appropriate combinations of on-line learning, classroom instruction, demonstrations, job aids, and on-the-job training to produce the most efficient and effective learning experience

• Assist in developing general training instructions, checklists and visual aids. • Conduct new employee orientation, on-the-job/classroom training and certification. Follow up on a regular, planned schedule to answer questions and verify proficiency.

• Conduct cross training and certification and periodic re-certification as required. Support workers who have questions or need additional assistance in understanding their job responsibilities.

• Manage all training materials and files including document control and training records in accordance with cGMP.

• Coordinate and conduct business and technical training for new hires and current employees, including remedial training.

• Responsible for creating required training modules, courses and curricula concerning the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and teaching them to appropriate personnel as required following the established guidelines and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Partner with the Shared Services Training team to implement and monitor any trainings added to the Learning Management System (LMS).

• During non-training or non-production periods, the OJT trainer may be called upon to perform in other capacities such as: working on problem solving, continuous improvement or safety programs; cross training of operators; performing technical checks on equipment; assist with training programs in other departments; check for correct procedure and accuracy; and assist in general housekeeping activities.

• Periodic attendance at training seminars, of which some will require out of town or overnight arrangements.

• Perform all training in full compliance with all company, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.

• Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, process, or equipment. • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s) and observe company policies at all times.

• Work with on-the-job instructors to ensure a robust and effective learning experience for tenured employees with remedial training needs as identified by the managers.

All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluent in Spanish 
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, or related business degree
  •  3-5 years’ experience in training dev
