Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Senior Manager of Security to join the Support Services team. This role is Full-time Monday to Friday.

Requirements for consideration:

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of progressive hospital security operations management experience in an acute care hospital setting (in addition to the minimum experience requirements.
• 3 years of experience in a Security management position 
• 2 years of additional security experience 

Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, preparing and implementing business strategy to achieve the organization’s goals, ensuring legal compliance, communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, managing employment decisions and contributions of supporting team members, and managing departmental budget and fiscal success.
• Provides detailed technical, physical function and systems analyses necessary to provide administration and hospital departments with data and recommendations on projects, problem resolution, expansion, renovation, with regard to necessary security equipment replacement and other improvements.
• Directs operations and functions of security teams within the hospital to include planning, installation, maintenance/repair of surveillance systems and access control devices.
• Participates in the reconstruction planning of all additions or alterations to hospital security systems.
• Assists Dir Public Safety and Emergency Management in developing, implementing, and overseeing the Security Management Plan and all Security response protocols.
• Provides direction and management to all contracted security team members and holds the contractor accountable to key performance metrics.
• Conducts performance-based evaluation of contracted security team.
• Establishes, reviews and suggests revisions of performance standards for security team members. Interacts appropriately to set goals, communicate expectations and provide feedback.
• Coordinates and monitors the development of annual budgets, if applicable.
• Collaborates on our Workplace Safety Committee to enhance the safety of our campus.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
