The Revenue Cycle Lead supports the Cash Department by serving as a key resource for staff and assisting supervisory personnel with daily operations and workflow management. This role focuses primarily on cash posting activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established processes within the revenue cycle.
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Support supervisory staff in managing the workflow and daily operations of the cash posting department to ensure departmental goals and deadlines are consistently met.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to new hires and existing team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff inquiries, troubleshooting day-to-day issues, and escalating systemic or recurring problems to supervisory leadership as needed.
- Maintain and manage assigned cash-related work queues, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency and efficiency across the team.

Experience with revenue cycle applications/systems
Awareness of compliance and regulatory guidelines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education:
High School Diploma/Equivalent
AND
Experience:
4 years’ experience in a healthcare/revenue cycle setting with specific experience in business functions such as; registration, follow up, denials, and payment posting.
Additional Information
Post-secondary education in healthcare or business-related field is preferred
