Description

ExamWorks is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the team as a Revenue Auditor.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in the Atlanta, GA office location and 2 days per week remote.

The Revenue Auditor is responsible for reviewing and testing revenue transactions and related controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. This role works closely with other departments to resolve discrepancies and supports the audit team with documentation and process reviews.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review audit revenue transactions, general ledger entries, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Test and evaluate internal controls related to revenue processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies, reporting anomalies or potential fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and all relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with teams in accounting, billing, and tax to research and resolve discrepancies in revenue data.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Assist in developing audit procedures and checklists for revenue-related audits.
  • Stay updated on relevant audit best practices, industry standards, and regulatory change affecting revenue recognition
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue auditing, internal audit, or public accounting
  • Experience in a highly regulated or complex industry (e.g., healthcare, telecom, government) preferred
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI) preferred.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects at once.
  • Must have strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and regulatory frameworks.
  • Must be proficient in auditing tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
