As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banks Macro Algo Trading Technology team, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Job responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Design, develop, and maintain electronic trading components
• Apply low-level programming techniques to optimize trading software for low latency
• Collaborate with business partners and team members to enhance Algo order offerings
• Support the execution platform and provide second line support for trading operations
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of global trading systems  

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Core Java, Multithreading
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, system design, threading implications, and strategies for optimizing performance-sensitive code.
• Apply knowledge of threading and performance optimization strategies
• Work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment
• Possess strong Linux or Unix skills and understanding of networking topologies, including TCP and UDP
• Exhibit attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Learn quickly and apply new skills effectively
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Relevant markets Electronic Trading experience
• Utilize scripting skills, with Python will be an advantage
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve issues efficiently
• Work independently as well as part of a team
