Daikin Applied is seeking a Warehouse Manager to support our NYC parts warehouses! The Warehouse Manager will oversee the operations of the Daikin Applied parts store warehouses in Long Island City and Brooklyn. Under general direction, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies. Location: Onsite in Daikin Applied parts store warehouses in Long Island City and Brooklyn

 

What you will do: 

• Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory
• Manage activities of the warehouse including but not limited to record control, shipping and receiving and transportation compliance to ensure availability of merchandise
• Oversee logistics of the shipping and receiving department such as trucking companies' pickup and delivery schedules
• Assign workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise, conducting cycle counts and assembling orders for delivery
• Review bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to plan work activities
• Direct reclamation of damaged merchandise
• Ensure the security of the company product
• Benchmark world class and drive efficiency of department work levels to best practices
• Prepares short and long-range plans and monitor progress
• Prepare and maintain warehouse budget to profit plan and manages within limits of authority

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Vocational or Technical degree in Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent work experience
• 6 – 8 years of related work experience
• 4+ years people leadership
• Ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manager
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead and inspire team
• Possesses business acumen and understand business processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, inventory and database software programs

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years related work experience
• 6+ years people leadership

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $87,800 - $140,600 in New York. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
